At a distance of 50 meters from the residence is the beating heart of Porto Ottiolu consisting of the small marina square, with bars/cafes, restaurants, pharmacy, ATM, hairdresser and SPA, clothing, craft and grocery stores. Also in 2023 the beaches of Budoni, of which Ottiolu is a part, were awarded the prestigious Blue Flag, which, in addition to attesting to their beauty, recognizes their sustainable land management (environmental performance), and the 5 Sails 2023 by Lega Ambiente and Touring Club, which rewards locations with the most beautiful sea, integrity of the landscape and quality of reception facilities.

The small beach is 400 meters from the residence and the large beach is about 800 that can be walked through a beautiful promenade among the boats moored along the harbor. The large beach of Ottiolu consists of white sand and transparent water with green and blue shades, it is an equipped beach with public toilets, showers and foot-washers, walkways to facilitate the entrance to strollers and disabled people, JOB chair to allow disabled people to enter the sea safely. Most of the beach is free, but there are two concessions for those who want to rent sunbeds and umbrellas.
A delightful kiosk-dock 87 beach bar at the entrance to the beach offers tourists the opportunity to enjoy quick food, drinks or cocktails and to enjoy the spectacular view of this white beach on an ever-changing sea. The small beach is surrounded by rocks and is ideal for snorkelers, plus the shallow water and protected conformation make it ideal for families with young children. From the small beach starts a path through the typical Mediterranean vegetation (myrtle, lentisk, juniper) that runs along the sea and the small coves of coarse sand, seaweed and rocks where you can take a dip in thewild and unspoiledatmosphere preceding the tourist settlements.

Until June Ottiolu is the ideal place for those who love the sea and tranquility, in July and August life comes alive and there are activities and events for all age groups: evening stalls, tasting events, live music, horseback riding, sailing or motor boat trips. In Ottiolu you can park your car on arrival and never need it again for the entire vacation, but if you want to discover other beaches, among the most beautiful on the island, you'll be spoiled for choice: Cala Brandinchi, also known as Little Tahiti, is located about ten kilometers north of Ottiolu, Capo Coda Cavallo, the marine protected area of the picturesque island of Tavolara, a few kilometers further north, or moving south, we find Berchida, Cala Liberotto, and if we go about fifty kilometers further south there is Cala Gonone with the spectacular Bue Marino Caves and the legendary Cala Luna.

In short, Porto Ottiolu is a small jewel of Sardinia's northeastern coast that lends itself to be considered a unique destination for the whole vacation or as a springboard to travel and visit new places every day.
